Celebrate Recovery Summit 2011

Celebrate Recovery and the 12 leaders who were privileged to attend the 2011 Summit wish to express our sincerest gratitude to Friendly for making it a reality. We learned about serving our Lord, our church, and our participants as a TEAM, as well as how to make a difference in the lives of those in our community. The Skit Guys were inspiring and hilarious, the testimonies of long-time church members with hidden hurts, habits and hang-ups healed by God and CR were amazing, and the Praise and Worship was the best to be experienced this side of heaven! Here is what some of our attendees had to say about Summit 2011:

“This was my first year at Summit and it was a really awesome and inspiring experience. I enjoyed being with over 3,000 of "those people," all there to Celebrate God and their Recovery. Great things happened at Summit and the devil is not happy, he is trying his hardest to attack every one of us that attended. Please keep us in your prayers as we continue to do God's work and help others in their time of healing. I cannot express the depths of my gratitude to my church family for the love and support of our ministry. Thanks for allowing us to go.”

“Worship, laughter, tears, teaching, walking, fellowshipping, and loving. Then, doing it all over again in the afternoon, for three straight days. In short, for me, it was heaven practice.”

“CR Summit was worth every second for my own growth in Christ. It’s amazing to see 3400+ of God's children come together with similar hurts, habits, and hang-ups praising and worshipping Jesus Christ. Thank You Friendly Baptist Church for allowing 12 CR Folks to attend the 2011 Summit.”

“What an awesome, amazing and awe-inspiring week! Every year that I go, it gets better and better!! I come home on fire for God, for Celebrate Recovery, and for helping others find the healing they need! Celebrate Recovery is what I believe God intended the church to be- a place to join with others who have been hurt by others, have hurt others, and who have tried to use other things besides Jesus to fill the void in their lives. We appreciate Friendly tremendously for allowing us to go!!”
